To select multiple age groups, select an age group and then hold the control key down while making additional selections. To select a consecutive range of ages, use the shift key or click and drag the mouse over the range.

Select municipality of residence:

First, select the county from the drop-down menu. Then select the municipality from the resulting list.
To select more than one municipality, select the first municipality and then hold the control key down while making additional selections, or use the shift key to select a range of municipalities.

Step Five

Select indicator variable:

This list contains indicators of infant and maternal health. Select All Live Births or select one or more indicators. If Indicator is not chosen in Step One, only one indicator may be selected.
If Indicator is chosen as a variable in Step One, more than one indicator may be selected by holding down the control key while making additional selections. To select a consecutive range of indicators, use the shift key or click and drag the mouse over the range. The total number of live births appears in the query result regardless of indicators selected, therefore NJSHAD does not allow All Live Births to be selected at the same time as any indicators in the box below.

* Rates are not produced if All Live Births is chosen in Step Five because live births are the denominator for the calculation of rates in the NJSHAD system. Population estimates are available for the calculation of birth rates and fertility rates outside of the NJSHAD system.
